US Patent No. 9,713,588 B2; L’Oréal, Paris, has patented a nail polish composition that is comprised of at least one high gloss film forming agent which is a styrene maleic anhydride copolymer; at least one co-film forming agent which is an epoxy resin; at least one reactive agent which is a polyalkyleneamine; and at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of a volatile solvent, water and mixtures thereof. The composition does not require the use of nitrocellulose....
